Attending our 2022 Grape Stomp?

Here are some important details to help you be prepared.

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO REVIEW THE CONTEST RULES, AND DON'T BE LATE!

Dear Future Stompers,

Saturday is your big day! To be on top of your game, we would like to give you a few pointers!

1. See the Grape Stomping Competition Rules below which outlines the rules and regulations of the event. Knowing the rules is the best way to develop your strategy for getting the most out of your grapes!

2. Please be sure to bring a towel and change of clothes as it will be a beautiful, yet hot, Texas summer day! Our stomping occurs outside and if you don't feel like staying in your sweaty clothes, please bring a spare set to change into in our bathrooms. Sunscreen is also highly recommended. Closed toe shoes should be worn while walking in the vineyard.

3. PLEASE be on time! The competition is fiercer than even before.  We are expecting a large crowd and it is crucial you show up at your assigned time slot. If we have yet to contact you for confirmation, please give us a call (903.240-1587).

This is our 13th Annual Grape Stomp and we have cherished each moment with our stompers. It is safe to say the Stomping Event is the highlight of our year and we expect it will be for you as well!  We want to thank you in advance for competing and wish you all the best of luck!

See you soon,

Enoch

Grape Stomping Competition Rules

*Please wear something you do not mind getting a little messy or bring a change of clothes!

1.    Check in at the registration desk.

2.    Each couple will be given a bin of 20 pounds of grapes and a bucket to collect the juice.

3.    When the designated stomp time is announced, each team will line up behind a stomping barrel.

Upon command, the team will dump some grapes into the barrel for stomping.  Each team

determines how many grapes to place in the barrel from the bin and when to add more.

Each team only gets one bin of grapes.

4.    Once all the participants are ready, the stomper steps into the barrel and begins stomping.

5.    Stompers may not sit on edge of the barrel.

6.    Stompers may not lean on or touch partner.

7.    All grapes must be crushed only by stomper’s feet.

8.    Juice may be collected ONLY through the tap at the base of the stomping barrel using your collection bucket.

9.    During the stomping, the collector may continue to add more grapes from the bin of grapes provided.

10. Both team members will be allowed to stomp for 3 minutes each.

11.   On signal, all stompers and collectors must cease work.

12.   The collector then takes the bucket to the weighing station to determine how much juice was collected.

13.   Team results will be posted on the Stomp Board with a prize awarded to the couple collecting the most juice.

14.   An outside hose will be provided to clean up after the competition.  We suggest bringing a towel and a change of clothes.

15.   Enoch’s Stomp reserves the right to post competition photographs on Enoch’s website and other social media platforms.
