Grenache 2018

Grenache, pronounced [ grə/nahsh], is a grape variety originating in Northern Spain, and made famous by multiple French regions.   It produces mainly medium bodied, dry red wines with soft tannins. It is known for strawberry, black cherry, and raspberry flavors that combine with anise and cinnamon for a wonderfully complex taste. It’s soft tannins pair nicely with less spicy styles of Asian cuisine, and holds up well with light meats. Grenache matures quickly and is best consumed two to five years after harvest. Serve at room temperature.
